Our Mission

Engage 207 originally began as Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) in 1984. We provide the opportunity for youth from Anabaptist backgrounds to serve the Lord in Maine. Engage 207 is a volunteer outreach program that endeavors to share the love of Jesus not only with the City of Lewiston but also to surrounding communities. The volunteers live in a family home environment with the support of houseparents as they volunteer and serve at various locations in Maine.

Our goal is to challenge volunteers to Engage in a deeper relationship with God and community as they live and serve in Lewiston. The area code of Maine, 207, identifies the location of the volunteer program. Engage 207 offers various programs to fit the gifts and abilities of the volunteers.
